Our bus was scheduled to arrive at 4 inn the morning! We were waiting outside our hotel as the whole street seemed to be doing the same.
Our bus arrived at 4.30 and was super comfortable with sleeper beds. I was asleep within minutes (I've managed to catch s cold, so sniffing rather a lot).

Arrived in Hue about 7 and had a strong coffee at a Western style coffee shop. They ordered a taxi for us.

After some breakfast and buying a pair of linen trousers for me, we hired a boat. Looked at a pagoda and temple but it was all a bit dull. My cold wasn't helping.

We stopped for some really good iced coffee on the way home.
Not the best of evenings. I lay on a hard mattress, taking turns on which part of my body to sacrifice to numbness. My nose was streaming and I felt generally off colour, it was hot and muggy, mosquitoes were biting, but worst of all, the Vietnamese love karaoke.
Unfortunately their enthusiasm outdid their talent and after a few agonizing songs I wasn't sure if the tears on my face were from my cold or the pain from enduring the karaoke. What a sound for sore ears!
